LAND AND SEA is a large-scale public artwork exploring the relationship between people, nature and the environments we share. Through a series of simple symbolic form, including birds, fish, trees, penguins and human figures, the mural reflects the interconnectedness between community, land and ocean.

This collaborative mural, created by artists Keya Tama, Tyler B. Murphy, African Ginger and Johnny Allison celebrates the relationship between people, place and ocean life along the Cape Town coastline. Blending graphic symbolism with portraiture and natural forms, the artwork brings together each artist’s distinct style to reflect themes of connection, heritage and the surrounding marine environment.
